Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9 April 2026

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using our services or website. By engaging Searchable for services, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Services

Searchable provides web design, development, and SEO services as agreed upon in a project proposal or service agreement. The scope, deliverables, and timeline for each project are defined in writing before work commences. Any changes to the agreed scope may result in additional costs and revised timelines.

2. Payment

Payment terms will be outlined in your project proposal. Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit is required before work begins, with the balance due upon project completion. All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are exclusive of GST. Overdue invoices may be subject to late payment fees.

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide all necessary content, materials, and feedback in a timely manner to enable us to deliver your project. Delays caused by late provision of content or approvals may affect the delivery timeline. You are responsible for ensuring that any content, images, or materials you provide do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.

4. Intellectual Property

Upon receipt of full payment, ownership of the final website design and content created specifically for your project transfers to you. Searchable retains the right to display your project in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing. Any third-party assets (such as stock photography, fonts, or plugins) remain subject to their respective licences.

5. Revisions & Approvals

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as specified in your proposal. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope will be billed at our standard hourly rate. Final approval from you is required before a website is launched. Once approved and launched, any subsequent changes will be treated as new work.

6. Limitation of Liability

Searchable's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total fees paid by you for the specific project or service in question. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of profit or business opportunity, arising from the use of our services or website.

7. Cancellation

Either party may cancel a project by providing written notice. If you cancel a project after work has commenced, you are liable for payment of all work completed to the date of cancellation. Any deposit paid is non-refundable once work has begun.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
